The 5 S's

The five S's of digital marketing by PR Smith and Dave Chaffey

The five S are used in goal setting for digital marketing.

They represent the basic objectives for a business who is operating online.

Sell

 - The first and most obvious S of digital marketing. Having an online 'vitual store front' can be a game changer for a business as many people now buy online rather than offline. Sell can stand for other converstions but the objective is to grow and reach as many people as possible.

Speak

 - Get to know your customers. To get a dialog going you need them to engage with your content first and then begin coversations. Find where your customers are online and start there. Speaking to your customers will help make better decision in the future.

Serve

 - Refers to customer service and website usability. Good service adds value to your customer. Anwsering quieries in professional and timely manner. Having a good interface and design helps serve the customer. Optimizing the webiste for the user.

Save

 - Digital marketing is much more cost effective than traditonal. The ability to edit and change messages easily and immediately saves time and money.

Sizzle

- This means to stand out and leave a lasting impression. What is the Wow factor? Grow your community Social media plays a major role in the sizzle element for the business. Instagram and YouTube especially. The sizzle is what will have people coming back for more. The sizzle is keep making great content that people will follow.
